Live Well, Then Write Well

The creativity flows from your heart. When your heart is open to new experiences, that joy, excitement and sense of adventure in you seeps onto the pages of your book/story.

It’s true that you can’t give what you don’t have. Creativity comes from your heart and if you don’t have a heart full of experiences, your writing may be limited.

Now, that’s not to say you can’t be a good writer without having great life experiences, but wouldn’t it be easier and more fun to write about your characters experience at the Eiffel Tower when you’ve actually been there yourself? You know the feelings stirred up within you. The sights, sounds and smells are things you can detail in your writing that will make it come alive.

Another thing about the creative juices is that they flow freer and are more magical when mixed with excitement. Get excited. Live well, then write well.

Your experiences make your life richer. Your life makes your stories richer.
